He moved to Los Angeles and after a small stint at a shop that specialised in restoring muscle cars, he met up with ex-pat kiwi Andy Palmer of Palmer Coach Works. Working along side Andy restoring exotic European Sports Cars such as Mercedes, ATS's, Ferrari's and Rolls Royce.

After gaining this invaluable experience from Andy Palmer, Clint then moved to London where he worked in a Smash Repair Shop, that repaired Late Model European Cars. Three years was enough in the cold so Clint decided to come home to New Zealand

After being home for only a few months, Clint got a call from Mick Jenkins, Shop Manager of So-Cal Speed Shop in Panoma California. Clint Spent 4 months at So-Cal in 2002 and 2 months in the Paint Shop gaining more invaluable experience on Hot Rods, Race Cars and Project Cars for the Sema Show.

Upon returning to New Zealand, Clint worked for a year before taking the opportunity to set up in business as Elite Auto Painters.
